Honors Day and the Eve of Graduation

What a day! We were up at the crack of dawn decorating for graduation, then went straight to Honors Day at Darlington School.

I was so honored to receive two awards:

The E.V. Regester Award, which recognizes excellence in English. It’s named after E.V. “Doc” Regester, a teacher and administrator who made a huge impact on Darlington for almost thirty years.

The Barbra Ware Book Award, which goes to an Upper School student who has made outstanding contributions to social justice, minority awareness, and building an inclusive community. This one means so much to me. Making sure everyone feels seen and included is something I really care about, and being recognized for it was incredibly special. 💛

We finished the evening with a beautiful Baccalaureate Service, and now here we are, on the night before graduation.

Tomorrow morning at 9:30, I walk across that stage. I honestly can’t believe it’s here. Thank you to my mom and everyone who has supported me along the way. I couldn’t have gotten here without you!
